The London International Animation Festival is back and will be screening more than 200 films from around the world from September the 1st to the 7th at the Curzon Soho, the Renoir, the Horse Hospital and the Rio Cinema.
This will be your only opportunity in London to see such a comprehensive line-up of current animated short films in competition and specially curated programmes.
LIAF aims to challenge and inspire audiences with thematic, aesthetic and technical diversity from award winners, outstanding industry veterans and those wonderful newcomers who are exploring their talent on screen for the very first time.

Join us for a sneak preview of the London International Animation Festival on Friday August 29th with a specially selected surprise short film followed by an amazing animated feature. With special guest host: Nag Vladermersky (LIAF director).
Choose between 'Fantastic Planet', the mesmerizing award-winning sci-fi with sumptuous soundtrack, or 'Paprika', anime from the director of ‘Perfect Blue’ which follows a beautiful psychiatrist who plunges into people's dreams in search of a murderer!
As usual we will have a DJ in the pre-screening party from 9:30pm, and the chance for YOU to choose the tunes in our Plug 'n' Play set (bring your MP3 players!).

Soho Ball will be held on Friday XX September and will benefit the Soho Community Centre, Soho Parish School and the Soho Family Centre. The venue is Le Meridien Piccadilly and tickets, at £100 each, include a champagne reception, a superb three-course dinner and entertainment, including the popular Abba tribute band, FABBA. The casino and champagne bar will be open all evening. Auction items and prizes this year include a song written by Chas from Madness for the highest bidder (he gets to keep royalties, though!); a special selection of mementos put together by drummer Charlie Watts; a self portrait sketch by Phil Collins, a Christian Furr litho; Janet Fitch jewellery, a night at Hazlitt’s Hotel and a selection of videos and CDs from stage hypnotist Paul McKenna. This annual fundraiser is the major social event on the Soho calendar, so book early to secure your place.
